Interview #4 : Questions & Answers with Torey Thornton

1. How's life Torey?
I'm chillen, going to school, hanging with the girl, and trying to ride as much as possible even though its pretty cold out. Ive been riding a lot lately though, so thats sick.

2. How long have you been riding fixed gear?
It will be 3 years in mid summer.

3. What are the achievements you've got so far?
This is a big question. I guess getting into Cooper, having good supporters behind my riding, and choosing/having some solid friends, to name a phew. There is all sorts of little bike things, but who cares right? Ha.

6. Where are you right now?And what are you up to?
Im in my girlfriends bed in Brooklyn, and I am writing this on an empty stomach. I have to head to school soon to run some errands and work on a painting.

7. Do you have a nickname in the fixed gear scene?
hfwido was my nickname for a while, and some people still call me that, but ive thrown it out, for now I am trying to stick with my real name and keep it more legit. There are some other technical reason why i dont go by that name anymore too, but thats another story.

8. What do you fancy besides bikes?
Creating shit, music, women, fashion.

9. Pick a spot in Asia to ride.
I dont really know any...

10. If given another chance, no bikes, what would you be rocking?
Making work, just as I do now when I am not riding, ha.

11. Girls or bikes?
Bikes never really make you angry, unless the parts aren't working correctly, but babes are insanely smooth too. If I didnt have my girlfriend now, i would still have my bike, so...

12. Have you done anything stupid with your bike?
Yeah, always. I think.

13. What are the stuff you have broken in these 2 years?
Wheels, spokes, chains, saddles, bent bars, seat posts, bent fork...

14. What is the most precious part on your bike?
The frame.

20. Who do you look upon to when comes to tricks on a bike? Name one.
Wonka. He is my best boy, and I ride with him almost everyday, and if we aren't riding, we are sitting in his apartment talking about riding, and watching videos.
