1. How's life John?
Busy! Very very busy.
2. How long have you been riding fixed gear?
Since 2004.
3. What are the achievements you've got so far? You're a big fan of the Japanese!
I've gotten to travel, design multiple fixed gear-related components and even a frame, have met a ton of amazing people and yes, the Japanese are awesome.
4. As of now, who are you endorsed to?
Milwaukee Bicycle Co., Mishka, Profile, Answer, Outlier and Hold Fast.
5. 2010, what's next for you?
More traveling! Making it out to Texas, Tokyo, LA, Richmond, Baltimore, Milwaukee (again) and hopefully Berlin or Rotterdam again. I'm also trying to renovate the blog and get some gear flowing. New Era cap is finally coming out, which I'm stoked on. I'm working on other things as well, which I can't talk about at the moment!

6. Where are you right now? Working life's good?
I work at a small Architectural studio in SoHo. We're busy, but in this economy, we're having a hard time picking up new clients. Not sure how much longer this job will last.
7. Do you have a nickname in the fixed gear scene?
Yeah, "PROLLY!".
8. What do you fancy besides bikes?
I grew up surfing and skateboarding. Music; have always been into metal. Really into Dubstep too. I love my girlfriend and my dog, watching movies, collecting random Japanese toys (Kaiju) and the NYC life! Friends are of the up most importance.

9. Pick a spot in Asia to ride.
That's a tough one. I'd love to ride in Shanghai!
10. If given another chance, no bikes, what would you be rocking?
No bikes? I guess a skateboard. Since I spent most my life doing that anyway.
11. Girls or bikes?
I have a girl, so bikes!
12. Have you done anything stupid with your bike?
Um yes. Every day. The dumbest shit I did was break my foot while in Tokyo.
13. What are the stuff you have broken in these 2 years?
Surly steamroller frame and fork, countless hub axles, bottom brackets, cranks, seatposts, saddle rails, rims, pedals, Thomson stems, my foot and an Eddy Merckx road bike. Luckily now, with my current setup, I haven't broken anything in a while.
14. What is the most precious part on your bike?
Well, aside from my Bruiser, I have a few Eddy Merckx bikes. The most precious part on those bikes would be my 151 BCD Pista cranks on my Eddy Merckx track. They're super old and in pristine condition. I've also got a full Inch-pitch campy drivetrain, steel Cinelli bars and stem and countless other rare bike parts siting around.

17. How many bikes do you own?
That makes 4 bikes. 1 fixed trick bike, 1 track and 2 road bikes.
In NYC, that takes up a lot of room! I also have an ass-load of vintage parts in boxes. Kind of a bad habit!
18. Nice chatting with you, what do you have to say to all the riders from the other side of the world?
Ride / Relax!
Thanks to John Prolly for his time & kindness to answers all these questions.
All the best to you John! Go check out his daily @ Prolly Is Not Probably
